Yes we know they can be cheeky little monkeys at times but doesn’t your heart melt when you hear them say those three magic words: I love you? Proud and with a warm heart watching the children you teach every day express their emotions in words or on paper to the people in their life that matter the most.
With Valentine’s Day approaching fast, love is very definitely in the air! And we know how much children enjoy making special gifts for their family especially when they see grownups doing it too!
We’ve pulled together 5 of our favourite Valentine’s Day crafts for children and it only seems right to start off with a cheeky little monkey! This activity from Crafty Morning gets 10/10 for fun factor and has lots of scope for older children to add their own little twists too.
Our list wouldn’t be complete without something yummy and delicious, so here is a perfectly scrummy edible treat in a heart shape of course… and multicoloured sprinkles to top it off!
As you know we’re big fans of recycling so any activity that reuses objects in an imaginative way gets a big thumbs up from us, and that’s exactly what the next two gift ideas are about. Newspaper Painted Hearts & Valentine’s Twig Arrows.
Our last but by no means least, is a beautiful Paper Heart Wreath from Happiness is Homemade. Younger ones will enjoy the scrunching of tissue paper, gluing & sticking while older children can have more responsibility with drawing and cutting their heart and practise this clever sticking technique with a pencil!
We’d like to wish you and your class a very Happy Valentine’s Day.
From the DFE team.

Thank you for your sharing. I am worried that I lack creative ideas. It is your article that makes me full of hope. Thank you. But, I have a question, can you help me?
I don’t think the title of your article matches the content lol. Just kidding, mainly because I had some doubts after reading the article.
